Romances to Read This Month |February TBR |
I like many people have a large collection of physical books on my TBR. With the month of February diving into Romances is obviously the way to go. After being in a rut with my reading romances help to give me something I know will delight me.
Mile High
-Enemies to lovers
-forced proximity
Starting off with Mile High by Liz Tomford follows Flight attendant Stevie Shay and Hockey Player Evan Zanders who dislike each other but fall in love while working on the same team. This is part of the Windy City series which follows 5 different couples in an interconnected series. This book was recommended to me by a friend. She also recommended the chestnut springs which is a top series for me, so obviously I had to add this to my TBR
Mate
-Paranormal Romance
-Forced Proximity
Mate by Ali Hazelwood is the second book after Bride. This follows Serena Who’s is a human warewold hybrid and is looking for protection from an Alpha Werewolf. She is a target ing a political conflict between the wires, vampyres and humans. Ali Hazelwood is a favorite author of mine and I really did appreciate Bride as a novel Im excited to see how the universe continues as well as the glimpses we might get of the first couple from Bride.
Not In Love
-STEM
-Enemies to Lovers
Follows Rue and Eli in their forbidden affair as Eli is trying to take over the company Rue is a Bio Engineer for. This is also a STEM romance and enemies to lovers. I have read Problematic Summer Romance which an interconnected stand alone following Eli’s sister and his best friend. I have had this one on my shelf since it came out and have been wanting to pick it up but it does have a warning that this is a more erotic than her other stories and has other sensitive topics which is different from her other books and at first I couldn’t tell if that was something I wanted to read and never pick it up. But now as Im trying to get through my physical TBR.
Wuthering Heights
-Classics
-Obsession and Revenge
Wuthering heights follows Catherine and Heathcliff in their toxic and forbidden romance. Heafcliff is an orphan and forbidden to be with Catherine even though he is obsessed with her and she is married to another. Dealing with themes for toxic romance. Obsession and revenge this classic is a classic for a reason. This does have a film adaptation set to release February 2026 with Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie.
Love Unwritten
-Single Father & Nanny
-Forced Proximity
-Enemies to Lovers
This is the second book in the lakefront billionaires series. Following Ralphael and the nanny of his son on their trip to Hawaii. This is an enemies to lovers romance with the two trying to navigate through a two week long vacation. The first book follows Rafaels cousin in his relationship with his best friend Dahlia. This book tackles topics of mental health and healing.
Pride and Prejudice
- Classics
- Enemies to Lovers
Classic novel by Jane Austen this follows Elizabeth Bennet as she tries to navigate love , marriage, and social class in regency England. This follows her relationship with Mr. Darcy, Classic enemies to lovers tale. Where Elizabeth is pride Mr Darcy is prejudice. The 2005 film is a favorite of mine that I have to see at least once every spring. I want to read this book this year to get more depth.
Seven Year Slip
-Time Travel Romance
-Grief
Contemporary romance following a clementine who is a publicist and falls of Iwan and discovers he lives 7 years in the past. This is a time travel romance where they meet at different points in their lives. This story has themes for grief, love and change. I have had this book on my shelf for many many years and want to add it to my TBR for February and really dive into the romances. Although all these picks are romances they have a vast range of themes and topics they cover. As I try to get through my goal of 30 books a year and taking down my physical TBR I would love to hear your thoughts on these picks and let me know if you have any of these on your TBR as well.
