My Thoughts

I picked up this book at the beginning of march. I had so many recommendations for this book and I went in not expecting much. I truly enjoyed this book. I couldn’t put it down and

Writing

The style of this writing was interesting. Everything about this writing was very matter of facts. There were many times that the way things were written was to show there was no way to change it. There were many quotes from this book that had such a deeper meaning.

Characters

Elizabeth was a character I felt for. She is smart, driven and strong but we see her get taken advantage of over and over again. I loved seeing her continuously strive for change as hard as it is. She still kept her head up and held her own. Her dog 6:30 was so fun and a nice addition to the story. I personally don’t care to much for pets in books but 6:30 was great.

Plot

This book explained themes of love while also showing us a woman who is in this life she never expected to be in. It shows her making the best of it but also speaks on how this is a situation many women find themselves in.

Overall

This was a great read for me I rated it 4.5 stars. This book also has a TV show adaptation on Apple TV. I personally enjoyed it in relation to also knowing the story from the book. I definitely would recommend this book. It was the 2023 book of the year from Barnes and Noble as well.
