Instant Buy Authors
Hi, y’all! Over the past year I’ve been able to pick up on the style of writing I like and found some authors I love. I want to share with y’all some of my auto-buy authors. These authors whom I’ve come to love have proven to me that every book I read by them will be rated highly and bring me some sense of emotion that’s going to stay with me in some way or another.
When I first got back into reading as an adult I picked up To All The Boys I Loved Before by Jenny Han. I loved those books and went searching for The Summer I Turned Pretty series by the same author. When I couldn’t find it the book seller recommended me The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. That recommendation led me to be a huge fan of Ali Hazelwood. Since then I always have to buy her books once they are released. I like her approach to different concepts and portraying stories of really intelligent women and finding love. Her characters are always so funny to me and quirky which I relate to so much.
When I really took off and wanted to make reading a habit of mine I borrowed One True Loves By Taylor Jenkins Reid. This book was my introduction to her at the time Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo was really taking off on TikTok and I wanted to try something from her but I wasn’t having luck getting a copy from my library so I picked up One True Loves. The structure of how the “chapters” in this book was different for me but made sense to be broken up into parts and no actual chapters. The way love is described and shown is such a real and complex way. I loved that about this book and made me want to read more of her work. After reading that book I decided to read her entire backlist. TJR never fails to depict the complexities of different types of love and relationships and even though her characters can be so big and grand they are flawed, real, and relatable. Whatever works of her comes out I’m automatically in I don’t think that will ever change.
The past couple of months I got into the Magnolia Parks Series. I fell in love with Jessa Hastings writing through this series. When I found out about her newest release Never I had to pick it up. I feel she has such a poetic way of describing a feeling or metaphor. With the new release of Magnolia Parks Into The Dark I had to buy that one when it came out.
These are some of my recent auto-buy authors. One of my goals this year is to get into new genres and who knows maybe I will find more auto-buy authors but these are my current favorite authors.
